Partnership will showcase how QSM’s keystone SLIM Suite Software enhances Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Tools
MCLEAN, VA, Apr 17, 2013 -- Quantitative Software Management, Inc. (QSM), a leader in software process improvement and systems development estimation, today announced a partnership with Digital Celerity LLC, a leader in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) and IT Service Management expert services and solutions, to forge an industry leading integration between SLIM-Estimate and CA Clarity(TM) PPM. The partnership will be discussed in detail at CA World 2013. The conference, which takes place April 21-24, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV, will showcase the latest and most innovative technologies for delivering optimal business results.
At the event, representatives from both QSM and Digital Celerity will showcase how QSM's SLIM product suite feeds project estimation data into the CA Clarity(TM) PPM tool to allow for improved planning and resource allocation. Leveraging SLIM tools with CA Clarity(TM) PPM pushes project risk identification to the earlier proposal and feasibility stages in the project lifecycle, which can significantly reduce the risk of project failure.
QSM's SLIM Suite of tools comprises the industry's top-performing solutions for estimating, tracking and benchmarking software and design projects by leveraging QSM's unique and proprietary database of over 10,000 projects. Out of the top 10 systems integrators in the world, seven rely on SLIM intelligence. By engaging in this type of top-down estimating, analytics for project planning can be fed into PPM tools such as CA Clarity(TM) PPM. Resulting analytics include detailed plans for effort by labor category, time period and project size.
"Utilizing detailed measurement and estimation business intelligence analytics for PPM tools means C-level executives can implement a more achievable project plan at a much earlier stage in the lifecycle at a fraction of the cost," explains Larry Putnam, Jr., Co-Chief Executive Officer for QSM. "Linking QSM's SLIM software directly to PPM tools helps companies save time and money by automatically bringing the data to where it needs to be without manual entry, to more effectively support the organization's project portfolio."
"The combination of SLIM tools with CA Clarity(TM) PPM provides enormous power to PMOs and Portfolio Managers. The governance process of determining which projects to move forward with and the resource management process of determining who is available for the work are enhanced with accurate and standardized estimates, providing decision makers with greater flexibility and knowledge," said Richard Shapiro, Digital Celerity Engagement Manager and Vice President of the Clarity Global User Community.
